We here in Massachusetts are just now digging out of the Blizzard of 2013. Not since 1978 (and maybe not even then) has there been such a furor or over-the-top restrictions placed on the residents of Chowda Land. Unreasonable threats such as violation of the travel ban is one year imprisonment. I echo my son’s sentiments: “Yep, nothing makes me feel safer than the threat of one year imprisonment and the presence of 5,000 national guard troops.”
I hope people had the sense to keep their animals inside during the blizzard. As an animal lover (especially cats), it disheartens me to think that people still think of their companion animals as possessions—like lawn chairs. If you’d bring your patio furniture in during a storm, at the very least, you could let your cat in. The only cats that should be out in the cold are the snowcats like the one pictured above.
I’m tired of New England’s weather and considering relocating to Texas.
